EEE Department Showcases Research Excellence through Paper Presentations at National Forum

The Dept of EEE actively engages in discussions and activities focused on emerging technologies, innovations, and challenges in the field of electrical engineering.
The students and faculty members of the Dept of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE),actively participated in the 40th National Convention of Electrical Engineers organized by The Institution of Engineers (India), Kerala State Centre.The National Conclave was held under the aegis of the Electrical Engineering Division Board of IEI on the theme “Influence of AI on Modern Trends in Electricity Generation, Transmission, Distribution and Utilisation” at Hotel Prasanth, PMG Junction, Trivandrum during 15-16 October 2025.
The event served as a prominent platform for academicians, researchers, and professionals to exchange ideas and discuss the impact of artificial intelligence on the evolving power sector.

Representing Vidya, the following papers were presented:

  • Ms. Neenu Thomas (Asst Prof, EEE Dept) along with Jibin Johnson (S7, EEE Dept)Sreerag V. S (S7,EEE Dept)Vishnu K. K (S7,EEE Dept), and Antony Francis  (S7,EEE Dept)  presented a paper titled A Review Paper on Impacts of Electric Vehicles on the Power Grid.”
  • Ms. Krishna K. B (S7,EEE Dept) presented a paper on “Inductive Wireless Power Transfer Charging for Electric Vehicles.”
  • Ms. Shahaana P. P (S7,EEE Dept)presented a paper on “Artificial Leaf for Renewable Energy Harvesting from Wind and Raindrops.”

The participation of Vidya’s EEE students and faculty in this prestigious national event highlights the department’s commitment to fostering research, innovation, and awareness of modern technological trends in the field of electrical engineering.
