CE Dept conducts Alumni interaction session

To provide Civil Engineering students with first-hand exposure to career opportunities in the international construction industry, an alumni interaction session was conducted for the students of the Civil Engineering Department on 16 December 2025 with Mr. Amal Krishna K J  (Estimation Engineer at Al Nasr Contracting Company LLC, Abu Dhabi, 2020-24 batch, CE Dept).

During the session, Mr. Amal Krishna  shared his professional experiences and provided valuable insights into the working environment of international construction firms. He discussed modern construction practices, current industry requirements, and the role of estimation engineers in large-scale projects. He also highlighted various career opportunities in the field of Civil Engineering, particularly in the Middle East, and emphasized the importance of technical skills, software proficiency, and continuous learning.

The session was highly informative and motivating, helping students gain clarity about industry expectations and career planning. Students actively participated in the interaction and clarified their doubts regarding higher studies, skill development, and job opportunities. The session was coordinated by Ms Chithra M (Asst Prof, CE Dept) and overall, the alumni interaction proved to be highly beneficial, leaving students inspired by the alumnus’s experiences and guidance.
