First year EEE students make a mark at State-Level Industry Innovation Challenge
The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) proudly reports the active and commendable participation of its first-year B.Tech students in the State-Level 24-Hour Student Hackathon: Industry Innovation Challenge, showcasing early innovation, enthusiasm, and technical curiosity.
Joslin Joseph(S2, EEE Dept), Anirudh K. N (S2, EEE Dept) and Britto Biju (S2, EEE Dept) participated in the hackathon and developed an innovative project titled “VAST ROVER 1.0.” The event witnessed intense competition, with 22 project teams presenting innovative ideas aimed at solving industry-relevant challenges.
After the first round of evaluation, only nine projects were shortlisted, and VAST ROVER 1.0 proudly emerged as one among them. Although the team could not advance to the final round, the achievement stands out as highly commendable, particularly considering that the participants are first-year B.Tech students.
A notable highlight of the event was that Joslin, Anirudh, and Britto were the only first-year B.Tech team to participate in this prestigious hackathon. Their involvement reflects exceptional initiative, confidence, and commitment to innovation at an early stage of their engineering journey. The project was developed through continuous 24 hours of dedicated teamwork and hard work, demonstrating resilience, creativity, and problem-solving ability.
| The Editorial Team of News & Events joins the entire Vidya fraternity in extending heartiest appreciation to Joslin, Anirudh and Britto on the successful participation of the hackathon that enhances students’ technical proficiency, critical thinking and collaborative skills through hands-on coding, designing !!! |
