The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Center (IEDC) provides a dynamic platform for student leaders to hone their entrepreneurial skills, broaden their professional networks and transform innovative ideas into real-world solution

Vidya  Incubation Center strives to inspire and empower student entrepreneurs by providing guidance, resources, and a supportive ecosystem. Its mission is to transform innovative concepts into viable ventures, strengthen the regional startup community and prepare students with the skills and confidence required to succeed in a dynamic professional landscape. The Incubation Center was officially launched on  28 January 2026 providing students and aspiring entrepreneurs with a dedicated platform to develop ideas into successful ventures . Four Dynamic Startups take the stage at Vidya
The startup introduction session showcased four dynamic ventures incubated at our institution, highlighting the spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship thriving in Thrissur.
Unfazed Labs, a resilient tech venture specializing in AI-driven automation and robust digital solutions, was presented by Team Unfazed, comprising Nivin P. Louis (S6, AIML Dept), Sisira T. S. (S6, AIML Dept), Shafna Nezrein (S6, AIML Dept), Sreehari K (S6, AIML Dept), and Vivek Chandran (S6, AIML Dept).  The team was recognized for their innovative project, Clippable AAC Device, a compact and cost-effective Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) tool designed to assist individuals who cannot rely on natural speech, providing them with a practical and accessible communication solution. 
Layrd.Tech, pioneers in healthcare AI, demonstrated their “Chart-Prep Copilot” designed to enhance clinical efficiency, with Abhimanyu C. R., Adhish P. S.and Aadityan Santhosh introducing the company.
T-Stories, a startup amplifying entrepreneurial journeys and startup storytelling in India, was represented by CD Adithyan, Meera Surendran, Edwin Roji, Adith C. A., and Manav Madhu.
Grafen Innovations LLP, leaders in graphene-based advanced materials and sustainable solutions, was presented by Mohammed Nidhal (CEO), Neeraj V. M. (COO), and the CTO. These startups exemplify the innovative and entrepreneurial spirit nurtured at Vidya, leaving the audience inspired and enthusiastic about their future milestones.
The inauguration of the IEDC Incubation Center marks a significant milestone in fostering a culture of innovation at Vidya Academy of Science & Technology. By offering guidance, resources, and a supportive environment, the center empowers students and startups to turn their ideas into impactful ventures. This initiative underscores the institution’s commitment to building industry-ready, socially conscious, and future-ready graduates while contributing to regional entrepreneurship and economic development
In the same session, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was formally signed to strengthen academic–industry collaboration. Representing the institution, Dr. Sunitha C. (Principal, VAST Thrissur) signed on behalf of VAST. The  The MoU lays the foundation for knowledge exchange, practical learning opportunities, and joint initiatives aimed at preparing students to meet the evolving demands of the professional and corporate world. Together, the inauguration of the IEDC Incubation Center and the MoU signing underscore Vidya’s vision of fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and academic–industry synergy.
Dr. Shalij P.R. (Director – Academics, VICT) offered an insightful overview of both ongoing and completed projects at the center. Dr. Shalij emphasized the significant achievements and innovative breakthroughs made by the student teams. Additionally, he highlighted how these projects have positively influenced students’ learning experiences and strengthened the region’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Mr Anil Melepurath (IEDC Nodal Officer, Asst Prof- Sel.Grade, ECE Dept) and Ms Thulasi Rajan K (IEDC Nodal Officer, Asst Prof, CSE Dept) co-ordinated the sessions. With clarity and confidence, Ms. Akhila R (Asst Prof – Sr Grade , EEE  Dept) led the programme, keeping the audience engaged and ensuring the ceremony progressed flawlessly. 
Mr. Amith Raman (Chief Executive Officer, Inker Robotic Solutions Pvt. Ltd)  expressed his sincere gratitude to the organizers, speakers, and participants for making the event a resounding success. He also congratulated the students for their entrepreneurial spirit, creativity, and dedication in transforming innovative ideas into impactful ventures.
