Dr. Shalij’s 10-year strategic roadmap for VAST envisions a phased transformation of the institution, beginning with accreditation and autonomy to establish credibility and flexible governance, followed by academic excellence and infrastructure development to enhance teaching quality, research orientation, and state-of-the-art facilities. The third phase focuses on brand elevation and research, positioning VAST nationally and internationally through strong industry partnerships, alumni engagement and high-impact research output. Finally, the roadmap culminates in the transition to a deemed-to-be university, ensuring full regulatory compliance, robust governance, interdisciplinary programs, and sustainable growth, thereby establishing VAST as a premier institution recognized for academic innovation, research leadership, and long-term global competitiveness.
