Vidya & TMA forge milestone MoU for academic and professional excellence
Vidya makes continuous efforts to establish a strong collaborative framework that bridges academia and industry by actively engaging both stakeholders through various initiatives, including the signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs), joint activities, internships, and training programs.
Vidya organized a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony with Thrissur Management Association (TMA) on 28 January 2026.The MoU aims to strengthen collaboration between academia and industry through joint activities such as management development programs, guest lectures, internships, workshops and skill-enhancement initiatives. Paul Chakola (Head, Training & Placement) delivered welcome address.He stressed the importance of industry exposure and professional development opportunities for students , emphasizing their role in enhancing practical knowledge, skills and career readiness.
Mr. Joseph George (Assistant Director, TMA Student Chapters) in his address highlighted the importance of academia–industry collaboration in providing greater industry exposure and professional development opportunities for students and faculty. He also elaborated on the various activities offered by TMA, including management development programs, guest lectures, workshops, industry interactions, and networking opportunities that support skill enhancement and career readiness.
Since its establishment in 1990, the Thrissur Management Association (TMA), affiliated with AIMA, has been instrumental in shaping professional managerial culture in Thrissur. Its vibrant Students’ Chapter aims to cultivate leadership excellence by offering exclusive event access, national competitions, startup incubation support, and recognized AIMA/TMA certifications
The presence of senior leadership from both institutions underscored the importance of this strategic academic–industry partnership. On behalf of TMA, Mr. Padmakumar C (President and designated signing authority) along with CA Shaji P. J. (Honorary Secretary) joined PDr. Sunitha C. (Principal, VAST Thrissur) for the MoU signing ceremony. This partnership seeks to enhance managerial competence, leadership skills, and professional exposure among students and faculty through expert interactions, training programs, workshops, seminars, internships, and industry-oriented initiatives.
