CE Dept conducts session on ‘Career Planning and Professional Networking’: Insights from a Civil Alumna

Alumni Interaction Session serves as a valuable platform for bridging the gap between academia and industry.

An Alumni Interaction Session was organized by the Department of Civil Engineering on 08 January 2026 for third-year students. The session featured Ms. Thulasi Ajith (Consultant at BAlance Technology Consulting, Germany, 2006–2010 batch, CE Dept).

The session focused on strategic career planning and professional networking for aspiring engineers. Ms. Thulasi shared valuable insights on identifying clear career goals, preparing a strong and impactful bachelor’s project report, and understanding industry expectations. She emphasized the importance of building a professional presence through platforms such as LinkedIn to enhance visibility and secure entry-level opportunities.

The resource person was formally introduced by Dr. Abhilasha P. S. (HoD, CE Dept) who warmly welcomed the distinguished alumna and expressed pride in her professional accomplishments.

The interactive session provided students with clarity on career pathways, higher education prospects, skill development, and employment opportunities. Students actively engaged in the discussion, raising thoughtful questions that were comprehensively addressed by the alumna, making the session both informative and inspiring.
