MoU for Academic–Industry Collaboration between VAST Thrissur and CIVILIANZ,Centre for Civil Engg.Competitive Exams

With an aim  to systematically enhance the competitive exam readiness of  Vidya  civil engineering students by providing expert-led coaching, the Department of Civil Engineering  has entered into a formal Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Civilianz, Centre for Civil Engineering Competitive Exams, Kerala’s No. 1 coaching centre for civil engineering competitive exams, established in 2012. Civilianz has trained students for GATE Civil, Assistant Engineer, Junior Engineer, Overseer, Assistant Professor, Polytechnic Lecturer, and related exams, achieving over 3,000 successful government selections across departments including PWD, LSGD, Irrigation, KWA, Technical Education and Harbour Engineering.

Through this collaboration, VAST students will benefit from structured, expert-led training programs, workshops, interactive sessions, and test series aligned with national and state-level competitive exams. Civilianz will provide comprehensive coaching covering basic to advanced concepts, delivered via offline, online live, and recorded modes, supplemented by CivilApp, their dedicated learning platform.

The initiative aims to strengthen students’ conceptual foundations, exam-oriented problem-solving skills, technical aptitude, and analytical thinking while fostering professional competence and industry readiness. By bridging academic learning and professional expectations, the partnership seeks to enhance student performance in competitive exams, career awareness, and overall employability.

The MoU was formally signed on 03 February 2026 by Dr. Sunitha C (Principal) and Mr. Revith C. K. (General Manager, Civilianz) under the leadership and co-ordination of Dr. Abhilasha P. S.(Prof, HoD, CE Dept).
