Civil Engineering Team publishes research in IJCRT
Vidya’s faculty members actively broaden their research expertise while strengthening collaborative networks with scholars and researchers around the world.
The Department of Civil Engineering proudly recognizes the research achievement of Brighty Maria (S8, CE Dept).Her research paper titled “Recycling of Waste Electronic Cigarette Butts as Engineered Pelletized Fibres for Sustainable Stone Mastic Asphalt” has been successfully published in the International Journal of Creative Research Thoughts (IJCRT), Volume 14, Issue 1, January 2026.
The paper originated from her final-year seminar work and was carried out under the valuable guidance of Ms. Chithira Ajeeth (Asst Prof,CE Dept)). The research focuses on an innovative and sustainable approach to pavement engineering by exploring the reuse of waste electronic cigarette butts as engineered pelletized fibres in Stone Mastic Asphalt, thereby addressing both environmental concerns and material performance in road construction.
