Debate
While the cultural performances were spectacular, the undisputed highlight of the celebration was a lively and thought-provoking debate on the topic,“Language and Human Relations” (locally titled “Bhashayum Manushya Bandhangalum”).The debate saw enthusiastic participation from teams, who eloquently explored the profound ways in which the words we use—and the languages we speak—shape our interpersonal dynamics, empathy and societal structures. The debate touched upon how language can simultaneously unify and divide. While learning new languages fosters cross-cultural empathy and breaks down borders, language-based prejudices can still act as barriers to true human connection.
The session was moderated by Ms Surabhi M.S.(Asst Librarian) who fulfilled the roles of planner, stage-setter, facilitator and timekeeper, ensuring smooth progression and balanced participation.
The smooth execution and documentation of the event were made possible by the active participation of our student volunteers:
Manatharil Malayalam’ celebration was brought to life under the coordination of Ms. Surabhi M.S (Asst. Librarian) and through the dedicated efforts of the students, with Neha K. (S6,CSE Dept) serving as the Event Coordinator and ensuring everything ran smoothly. The memorable moments of the day were beautifully captured by Dibin (S6, CSE Dept) on photography and Aadinath (S8, ME Dept) on videography.
The Editorial Team of News & Events joins the entire Vidya fraternity in extending heartiest appreciations to all involved  on the successful conduct of  Manatharil Malayalam  that explores how words shape our interpersonal dynamics, empathy and societal structures, proving that language is not merely a tool for communication, but the very foundation of human connection !!!
