The Dept of CSE is highly honored and delighted to share that its faculty members have taken a significant step toward fostering innovation and practical problem-solving in real-world applications by contributing to an Indian Design Patent.Dr. Sanaj M S (Prof, CSE Dept) and Ms. Remya K R (Asst Prof, CSE Dept) were part of the Indian Design Patent entitled Solar Based Animal Intrusion Detection Device for Homes. This design has been developed as part of our ongoing research and innovation activities.

This device is a compact, eco-friendly security device designed to detect and deter animal intrusion in residential premises. The system operates using a solar power unit with an integrated rechargeable battery, ensuring continuous operation without external electricity. It incorporates motion and/or infrared sensors to identify animal movement near entry points, gardens, or boundary areas. Upon detection, the device activates alerts such as sound, light, or wireless notification to the homeowner. The weather-resistant enclosure, low-power electronics and autonomous solar charging make it suitable for outdoor installation, offering a sustainable and maintenance-free solution for protecting homes from stray or wild animals.
