Alumni interaction session on career opportunities and industry expectations in Civil Engineering

The Dept of  Civil Engineering provides students with first-hand insights into career opportunities, industry expectations and professional practices.

An alumni interaction session was conducted for the students of f Civil Engineering on 04 February 2026 with Ms. Adhithya M S (Estimation Engineer,Al Nasr Contracting Company LLC, Abu Dhabi,2020- 24 batch,CE Dept). 

During the session, Ms. Adhithya shared her professional experiences and pr2020-ovided valuable insights into the working environment of international construction firms. She discussed modern construction practices, current industry requirements, and the critical role of estimation engineers in large-scale construction projects. She also highlighted career opportunities in Civil Engineering, particularly in the Middle East, and emphasized the importance of technical skills, software proficiency and continuous learning for professional growth.

Students actively participated, seeking clarification on higher studies, skill development, and employment opportunities, which helped them gain a clearer understanding of industry expectations and career planning.

The interaction was coordinated by Mr. Kiran Babu A R  (Asst Prof, CE Dept). Overall, the alumni session was highly beneficial, and students were inspired by Ms. Adhithya’s experiences and guidance.
