Connecting Paths : Alumni Interaction by CE Dept
Alumni Interaction Sessions serve as a valuable platform for bridging the gap between academia and industry.
In a heartwarming gesture, a group of four friends revisited the college and presented sweets to their teachers as a token of love and gratitude. Continuing this spirit of connection, an Alumni Interaction Session was organized by the Department of Civil Engineering on 31st March 2026 for second- and third-year students.
The session featured distinguished alumni: Mr. Nirmal Nixon (Project Coordinator, Edge Neoteric Builders c/o George Infra Private Limited,2019–2023 Batch,CE Dept), Mr. Sherin Joy P. K. (Overseer Grade III, Harbour Engineering Subdivision, Tanur, 2019–2023 Batch,CE Dept).
The interaction focused on strategic career planning and professional networking for aspiring engineers. Alumni hared valuable insights on identifying clear career goals in both public and private sectors, the growing importance of steel construction, preparation strategies for PSC examinations, and the scope of pursuing an MBA.
The resource persons were formally introduced by Dr. Abhilasha P. S. (HoD, CE Dept), who warmly welcomed the alumni and expressed pride in their professional achievements.
The session provided students with clarity on career pathways, higher education opportunities, skill development, and employment prospects. Students actively engaged in the discussion, raising thoughtful questions that were comprehensively addressed by the speakers, making the session both informative and inspiring.
