SOAR 2026 Press Meet unveils the KTU Conclave at Vidya to open new horizons in engineering education and the future career landscape.

Moving beyond traditional definitions of engineering, KTU is leveraging the SOAR 2026 (Students’ Orientation for Aspiration and Readiness) conclave to introduce heavily modernized, industry-aligned curricula designed for the future.Vidya Academy of Science and Technology has been designated as one of the key regional hosts for this conclave.
A press meet was held in connection with the upcoming SOAR 2026 (Students Orientation for Aspiration and Readiness) district-level education conclave, organized by APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University (KTU), scheduled to be held on 19 June 2026 at Thrissur.
Delivering the opening remarks, Ms. Surabhi M. S (Media Co-ordinator, Asst Librarian) extended an amiable welcome to all attendees and the media representatives, whose presence added significant weight to the event.”She shared that the conclave acts as an open-house invitation, allowing everyone to witness the institution’s true strengths firsthand.
Following the welcome address, Dr. Abhilasha P. S (Convener- SOAR 2026, HoD, CE Dept) who led the press conference, provided an overview of the event’s core objectives. She explained that the conclave aims to provide students, parents, and the general public with a comprehensive understanding of higher education opportunities and career pathways in technical education. Furthermore, the event is intended to serve as a vital platform to showcase the academic excellence, research contributions, and innovation-driven initiatives running under KTU.It was informed that around 12 engineering institutions from across Kerala will participate in the event. The conclave will feature exhibitions of innovative student projects, prototypes, incubated startups, and entrepreneurial ventures. Various academic departments of Vidya Academy will also present their research achievements, industry collaborations, and student accomplishments through dedicated exhibition stalls.
The press meet highlighted that visitors to the conclave will be able to experience a wide range of academic and technological showcases, including advanced student projects, innovative solutions, placement achievements, higher education opportunities, nationally and internationally recognized student works, startup initiatives, and socially relevant projects.The organizers extended a warm invitation to students, parents and the public to attend the conclave and make use of the opportunity to gain valuable insights into higher education and career planning.
