ME Dept conducts Alumni Connect Program : From Campus to Canada
The department of Mechanical Engineering provides students with direct exposure to global industry expectations, quality management practices, and diverse career or higher education pathways available abroad.
The department organized an insightful Alumni Interaction Session for S7 Mechanical Engineering students on 3 July 2026. The session featured Mr. Vishnu Puthiya Madathil Chandran (Quality Auditor at SANOH, Canada,2014–2018, ME Dept) .
The primary aim of this session was to bridge the gap between academia and industry by equipping final-year students with practical insights into career opportunities, professional growth, and global industry expectations. During the interaction, Mr. Vishnu shared his personal academic journey, career progression, and firsthand experiences working within the international manufacturing sector.
He candidly discussed the challenges encountered while transitioning from college to the workplace, emphasizing the critical importance of technical competence, continuous learning, strong communication skills, and adaptability. The highly interactive event allowed students to actively seek guidance on career planning, quality management practices, skill development, higher studies, and employment opportunities abroad. In conclusion, the session successfully strengthened alumni-student engagement and significantly enhanced the participants’ professional awareness and global career preparedness.
