Instituted by the NSS Cell of APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University (KTU), these awards recognize outstanding contributions to voluntary blood donation.

| The awards were presented during the Rudhirasena Meet 2026 and Award Presentation Ceremony held on 11 July 2026 at the John Cox Memorial CSI Institute of Technology, Thiruvananthapuram. The honors were handed over by the Chief Guest, Shri Y. M. Uppin (NSS Regional Director). |
| Among the esteemed awardees, Aljin Joby (S8, CSE Dept) stands out as an active NSS volunteer of VAST who has consistently led by example through his significant contributions to voluntary blood donation activities.In a heartening display of campus-wide empathy, Pavithra P. (S6, CSE Dept) and Meenakshi K. G. (S6, ECE Dept) were also honored with prestigious individual awards. Though not officially enrolled as NSS volunteers, their remarkable, independent commitment to this noble cause highlights how deeply the spirit of social responsibility runs across the entire VAST student body. |
