VSEC conducts strategic review meeting with Chief Patron

Vidya Social Empowerment Center (VSEC), established under Vidya International Charitable Trust (VICT), seeks to empower students by strengthening their skills, fostering leadership and encouraging responsible participation in society.

VSEC Coordinator Committee (VCC) met on 02 September 2026, in the Board Room from 12:45 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. as a status-update session for the Vidya Social Empowerment Center, a unit of Vidya International Charitable Trust operating under Vidya Academy of Science & Technology, with the agenda covering the introduction of new members, the year plan, and other related discussions in the presence of Chief Patron, Er P K Asokan and  Advo. P N Unnirajan (Retd. IPS), Director of VSEC.

Er. P K Asokan (Chief Patron,VICT) initiated the proceedings, after which Dr. Siju K. C (Head – VSEC and Asso. Prof, AS Dept)  read out the Vision, Mission and Responsibilities of VSEC as laid down in the Charter Document.  The Chief Patron then emphasised the responsibility every VSEC member carries in serving society and the importance of gratitude as a guiding value for volunteers. The committee decided that programmes for the year would be implemented as per the year plan and mapped to their corresponding SDGs, with each programme report to record the number of beneficiaries, participation figures, feedback, and outcomes and that minor projects supporting education in schools would be identified.

Mr. Santumon S D  (Asst Prof, ECE Dept) was appointed to lead the VSEC Finance Committee and Ms. Vismaya Sasi (Asst Prof, AIML Dept) to lead the Alumni Group, while the Second and Third Rounds of the scholarship programme were scheduled for 05 September  2026, under Ms. Salkala K S.(Asst Prof- Sr Grade, MCA). The meeting concluded with clear role assignments and a shared commitment among all members to carry out the ye0ar’s programmes in line with VSEC’s goals.
