NSS performs creative wall painting and School Beautification Programme
As part of its community service and Swachhata initiatives, the NSS Units of Vidya Academy of Science and Technology (VAST) organized a Creative Wall Painting and School Beautification Programme at St. Mary’s LP School, Enamakkal, on 30 August 2026.
Objectives

To create a colourful, attractive, and joyful learning environment for school children through creative wall paintings.

To encourage NSS volunteers to contribute to community development, creativity, and social responsibility through meaningful service activities.
A total of 15 NSS volunteers actively participated in the programme. The volunteers transformed the school walls by creating and painting colourful cartoons, attractive characters, pictures, and creative illustrations suitable for young children. The artwork was designed to make the school surroundings more lively, cheerful, and visually appealing.
The initiative aimed not only to beautify the school premises but also to create a pleasant and joyful atmosphere for the students. The colourful cartoon characters and pictures added an element of fun to the school environment and were intended to bring happiness to the children while making their surroundings more engaging and child-friendly.
The volunteers worked together in planning, drawing, outlining, and painting the artwork. The activity provided them with an opportunity to express their creativity and artistic skills while contributing meaningfully to the local community. It also strengthened the values of teamwork, cooperation, empathy, and social responsibility among the volunteers.
The programme reflected the spirit of NSS by harnessing the creativity and efforts of student volunteers to bring a positive change to a community educational space.
