Cancer awareness session by NSS units on World Cancer Day

As part of the observance of the World Cancer Day, on 4 February 2022, the NSS units of Vidya conducted an online awareness session on breast cancer.

The program was a regional level program and NSS volunteers from various engineering colleges in Thrissur and Palakkad districts participated in the program. Dr Bebeto Thimothy (MBBS, General Practitioner) was the resource person for the session. He discussed the various causes of breast cancer and the methods for early detection of the same. Around 215 participants attended the program conducted through the Ggoogle Meet platform.  Dr Saji C B (Principal, Vidya), Mr Vipin Krishna (APJKTU NSS Cell Regional Coordinator), Mr Syam Prasad (APJKTU NSS Cell Palakkad District Coordinator) and Mr Anil M (Former NSS PO, Vidya) also addressed the participants before the awareness session.
