Cleanliness drive at Punkunnam Railway Station by NSS volunteers
To offer maximum support to the Swachhata Hi Seva (SHS) campaign, the NSS units of Vidya conducted a cleaning drive at Punkunnam Railway Station on 23 September 2023. A total of 30 volunteers actively participated in this drive.
The Major aim of this activity was to keep the cleanliness and to create awareness among communities towards sanitation and hygiene. All Volunteers took a cleanliness pledge and collected different types of plastic wastes and sent for disposal after sorting the waste.Tools and gloves were provided from the station and completed the cleaning drive successfully.
Mr Ranjith E R (NSS Programme Officer and Asst Prof, ME Dept) co-ordinated the event.
