CSE students participate in the second phase of Kerala’s largest Women-only Hackathon
Vidya students always try to tackle complex problems, and to come out with solutions that surpass expectations.
The proud girl students from Vidya got an electrifying experience to be a participant at the 12 hour(overnight) hackathon ‘Tink-Her-Hack 2.0’ conducted by TinkerHub during 24-25 February 2024. Susan P Babu (S8, CSE Dept),Varada Menon (S8, CSE Dept) and Shreya Dilip (S8, CSE Dept) attended at Tink-Her-Hack, possibly one of Kerala’s largest women-only hackathon.
Out of the hackathon participants across Kerala,top 25 teams (100 women) were shortlisted and our students were invited to attend the second phase of the hackathon , ‘Women Makers Celebration’. The Women Makers Celebration was held during 22 – 23 March 2024,the magnificent days for women makers. Women Makers Celebration was held on 22 March at the peaceful ambience of Santhigiri Ashram, Edathala,Aluva. It was a day exclusively for Women Makers ,where the students were grouped for performing various activities, discussions and at the end of the day they developed their own project framework .
Kerala StartUp Mission (KSUM), Kochi was the venue for makers on 23 March 2024.The day was packed with various sessions like informative lectures, panel discussions, workshops, flash talks and games focusing on various topics –Important Women participation in Tech, MicroSAS, Discriminations women face in Tech, Importance of women only hackathons,Devops,Web3..etc by eminent resource persons in respective fields.
