Seminar on Intellectual Property Rights -Procedure for filing patent

With an objective to give an insight to Faculty and students about intellectual property rights and its role in strengthening innovation, a seminar on Intellectual Property Rights -Procedure for filing patent was conducted under the guidance of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centre (IEDC) on 24 February 2023.

Dr Saji C B (Principal), in his inaugural address, gave enlightening insights about the need for protection and the significance of Intellectual Property Rights in Procedure for filing patent. Mr Anil M (IEDC Nodal Officer and Asst Prof, ECE Dept) delivered a talk on Importance of IPR.

The session was handled by Mr Anoop K Joy (Deputy Controller of Patents and Designs, Patent office, Chennai). Mr Anoop pointed out that the Patent law has become the need of the hour in developing new ideas and technologies. The session encouraged the Faculty and students  to be part of the progress of the country by patenting new ideas and technologies.
