Scholarship and Endowment Bestowal Function 2024
| Upholding the great ideals of “Educate, Enlighten”, the scholarship endowment distribution function was organized on 13 July 2024 as a stepping stone towards the development and upliftment of the socially and educationally diffident group.The function was attended by the honored luminaries of VICT, and a host of renowned personalities. The presence of scholarship awardees and the endowment prize winners along with their parents added a zest to the function. A total of 113 scholarships and endowments to the newly selected students were distributed during the programme. | |
The solemn prayer offered by Mr Ganga Chethikattil (Trustee, VICT) set a positive tone that marked the occasion more lively. Mr K P R Vijayan (Author Trustee and EC Member, VICT) presided over the function. Mr V P Nandakumar (Managing Director & CEO, Manappuram Finance Ltd) poised the occasion as Chief Guest with his stimulating words of perceptiveness.Dr Sunitha C (Principal) in her welcome address congratulated the recipients of scholarship and endowments students and also spoke about the social responsibility of the students towards society. Mr K K Thilakan (Executive Committee Member,VICT) introduced the Chief Guest.

| Manappuram Foundation,the social responsibility project of Manappuram Finance Ltd distributed 43 scholarships worth Rs 25 lakhs to deserving students during the function. Mr V P Nandakumar (Managing Director & CEO, Manappuram Finance Ltd) , Mr George Moreli (General Manager, Manappuram Foundation) and Ms Silpa Treesa Sebastian ( Head, HR, Manappuram foundation) distributed these scholarships. | |
| With an aim to encourage science awareness among school students, Vidya Social Empowerment Center (VSEC), an initiative of Vidya International Charitable Trust had conducted Science Talent Test and the toppers Maheswari Madhu (Sacred Heart Convent Girls HSS, Thrissur, Angeleena Sanjay (Sacred Heart Convent Girls HSS, Thrissur),Mohamed Aazim Ubaid (St Joseph School, Pavaratty), Adhinath M S (C J M A Higher Secondary School, Thrissur), Rohith K J (Sree Rama Krishna Gurukulam Vidya Mandir Higher Secondary School, Puranattukara), Arav R Menon (Blooming Buds Bethania, Marathamcode), Pranav C (Gurukulam Public School, Venginissery), Adithi V J (Sacred Heart Convent Girls HSS, Thrissur), Theertha Ajith (Sacred Heart Convent Girls HSS, Thrissur), Bisna Breeze (Blooming Buds Bethania, Marathamcode) were honored with scholarships. Adv. P N Unnirajan (Director – Administration, VICT), Mr K K Thilakan (Executive Committee Member, VICT) who sponsored Vidya Science Scholarship for the years 2024 and 2023 respectively presented the scholarships. In addition to this, Vidya Science Scholarships sponsored by Sumam Asokan Foundation introduced by Er P K.Ashokan (Chief Patron, VICT) were also distributed. | |
| Winners of ‘ROOTS’ – a comprehensive scholarship scheme set up by Alumni of the EEE Dept were also received scholarships. Scholarship distributions to Adhithyan K S,Adithyan K S, Alanteena C A , Amal Krishna Dev,Anil M K, Anusree P S, Ashin Shaju, Malavika V M, Nived B N and Rahul M J who are admitted in electrical program (2023-27 Batch) in Vidya were performed by Dr Sudha Balagopalan (Mentor, ROOTS and former Dean Academics), Mr Ajin Aravind (Joint Secretary, AVA and ROOTS Foundation President) and Mr Balakrishnan. | |

G Mohanachandran (Honorary Advisor), Mr C R Unnikrishnan (Scholarship Committee Convener, VICT), Mr E G Asokan (Trustee Co-ordinator, VICT), Dr Sunitha C (Principal) to the meritorious students. Mr E D Asokan (Central Kerala Regional Co-ordinator, Mr Prakasan Natesan (former Executive Committee Member,VICT), Mr Dinamony V S (former Trustee Co-ordinator, VICT) attended the function. |
| Totaling a further tribute to this event, several faculty members and well wishers of Vidya have instituted endowments in the names of their dear ones for awarding prizes for the toppers in University examinations. Prof Ashita T A Memorial introduced by Mr Anoop A M, Gokul Memorial introduced by Mr Raveendran , Ms Mamatha Memorial by Mr E A Ramachandran), Prof Maya B Memorial Award instituted by Mr Krsihnakumar and endowments sponsored by Mr Biju P V (Asso Prof, ME Dept), Dr C Justin Jose (Adjunct Faculty, CE Dept) were distributed on the occasion. Mr Prakash Natesan (former Executive Committee Member,VICT), Devadasn V V, Dr Shobha A P (Prof, AS Dept), Ms Bittu Lambi (Asso Prof, AS Dept),Dr Siju K C (Asso Prof, AS Dept), Dr Deepa Mohan (former Asso Prof, CE Dept) presented their endowment prizes. |
