NSS Units organize successful Blood Donors Registration Campaign on National Voluntary Blood Donation Day

NSS Unit of Vidya conducts various  campaigns  to  raise  awareness about the importance of blood donation and registering potential donors who are willing to contribute to this noble cause.

In commemoration of National Voluntary Blood Donation Day 01 October 2024,the NSS units of Vidya successfully organized a blood donor registration campaign in the Kunnamkulam bus stand area. The campaign was a significant success, achieving a total of 170 donor registrations from the local community. The large number of registrations highlights the responsiveness and willingness of the public to support the life-saving initiative of blood donation.

The program was meticulously coordinated by the NSS Volunteer Secretaries, Aswathy E S (S5,CSE Dept), Mrithyunjay R (S5,EEE Dept), Nistal K Paul (S5,ME Dept), Devika Mothilal (S5, ECE Dept),Obadh Jose (S5,ME Dept), Ardra Shanmughan (S5,EEE Dept),Aruna R Menon (S5, CSE Dept) and Adarsh N A (S5,ME Dept). In addition to these volunteer secretaries, the Rudhirasena team members, including Aswin P Prakash (S5,CSE Dept),Aljin (S5,CSE Dept) and Frijo Antony (S5,CSE Dept), played a pivotal role in managing various aspects of the campaign and ensuring its smooth execution.

Mr Rajesh S K (NSS Program Officer and Asso Prof, EEE Dept), Mr. Ranjith E R (NSS Program Officer and Asst Prof, ME Dept), and Ms. Delmy David V (NSS Program Officer and Asst Prof, CSE Dept) provided invaluable guidance and support throughout the campaign. Their leadership and encouragement motivated the volunteers to work with enthusiasm and dedication, contributing to the event’s overwhelming success.

The event also focused on educating the public about the importance of regular blood donation, emphasizing how every donor can save lives by contributing to a continuous blood supply.
