PTA Annual General Body Meeting 2025

The PTA (Parent-Teacher Association) at Vidya has been providing a platform  for parents and teachers to exchange academic programs, concerns, and responses about the institution and the overall development  of the students by engaging various activities and initiatives

With an aim to make a sense of togetherness  among parents, teachers, and students’ well-being and learning environment more productive, Annual  General Body meeting of PTA was held on 18 January 2025 in the college auditorium. Dr Sunitha C (Principal) delivered welcome address in which she mentioned about the achievement of Vidya in various fields including that of academics, placements, sports , IEDC,  NSS etc. Dr Sunitha highlighted  the remarkable contributions by the PTA executive committee  and their  involvement among the matters pertaining to the efficient functioning of the institution. Mr Manoj Chalakkal (President, PTA) served as president of  the meeting.In his presidential address, Mr Manoj listed out the initiatives such as donation of laptops, financial support to the needy community, techfest, arts festival, other educational programs, extracurricular activities and infrastructure improvements etc that  played  a crucial role in enhancing the overall educational experience for our students and staff members.

Mr Suresh Lal (Executive Director, VICT) in his address extended sincere gratitude to the members of PTA for their steadfast support to the development and success of Vidya. Adv P N Unnirajan IPS (Retd.) (Director-Administration, VICT) also addressed the gathering with a special thanks note to the PTA EC members for all sort of unstinting efforts in organizing events and activities . 

 Mr Ramesh K V (Secretary PTA, Asso Prof, Physical Education Dept) presented  the annual  report that  highlighted  the combined efforts and accomplishments of the PTA, faculty, students, and the wider college community. Ms Reshmi Rajan (Treasurer Asst Prof, ECE Dept) presented the audited financial report of the PTA (2023-24) and accepted by the PTA members without any amendment. Ms Reshmi also outlined the proposed budget  for the year 2024-25  that reelects in fostering an inspiring academic milieu and supporting the overall progress of students and institution. The  proposed  budget was also approved by the PTA members with big round of applause .

As the term of PTA EC draws to a close, as a token of deep gratitude and a testament to their  commitment, collaboration, dedication and acquaintance, mementoes  were bestowed to  Mr Manoj Chalakkal (President), Ms Nisha K N (Vice President, PTA), Mr Haneefa Master (Joint. Secretary, PTA), Mr Sreevalsan Oduvil (EC Member, PTA) and  Mr Vidya Sagar N (EC Member, PTA).The election for the new PTA Executive Committee 2024-25 was also held and Mr Ramesh K V served as Returning Officer.

PTA  intends to more significantly engage talented voices in curricular and extracurricular field by instituting scholarships that bestows enrichment in the learning environment for all students. The distribution of   such scholarships were also performed during the function .

The  vote of thanks was proposed by  Mr Manesh D (Vice President, PTA and  Asst Prof, MCA). Recognizing the growing importance of open platform and strengthen the relationship between institution and parents, an interactive session was also held in which parents communicated their views and exchanged their  ideas, concerns and feedback.
