The Dept celebrated its Association Day on 21 January 2025 with great enthusiasm and fervor. The event commenced with a prayer song by Annrose (S6, AIML Dept) setting a positive tone for the celebration. Ms Riya P D (Asst Prof, AIML Dept, Association In charge) delivered a warm welcome speech, welcoming the dignitaries, faculty, and students. Dr Sunitha C (Principal) delivered an inspiring and motivating inaugural speech, emphasizing the importance of artificial intelligence and machine learning in today’s world
The inaugural ceremony included the lighting of the lamp by Dr. Sunitha C and other dignitaries, marking the official beginning of the celebration. Thereafter the department’s newsletter was launched. Dr Jeeva (HoD, AIML Dept, Ms Manjusha P D(Asst Prof, AIML Dept, Newsletter In charge) and newsletter editors Anson Risson (S6, AIML Dept) and O Varadha Vijay Menon (S6, AIML Dept) handed over the newsletter to Dr.Sunitha C, showcasing the achievements and activities of the department. A video presentation highlighting the events and activities of the previous year was also screened. Dr. Jeeva addressed the gathering and shared her vision and goals for the department. Winnie Rose (Secretary, AIML Association, AIML Dept) presented the annual report, highlighting the department’s activities and achievements.
The association representatives were honored for their outstanding contributions to the department. Prizes were distributed to the class toppers of S4 and S2, as well as to students who excelled in sports, recognizing their academic and extracurricular excellence and also a special reward were given to Nivin P Louis (S4, AIML Dept) and Edwin Roji (S4, AIML Dept) for their contributions to the disabled persons in the Cherppu block panchayat.
The official functions were concluded with a technical talk presented by O Varadha Vijay Menon (S6, AIML Dept) sharing insights and knowledge on the latest trends in AI and ML. The celebration got wrapped up with cultural programs presented by students, showcasing their talents in music and dance.
