As part of the KTU CARE flagship program, NSS volunteers of Vidya Academy of Science and Technology visited ‘Friends of Jesus Bhavanam’, Gagultha on 18 January 2025. The visit aimed to uplift and engage the 150 inmates—comprising elderly individuals and those with physical and mental challenges—by creating a joyful, inclusive atmosphere where they could actively participate in entertaining and meaningful activities.
A team of 26 NSS volunteers enthusiastically took part in the outreach. The volunteers conducted a variety of cultural programs and interactive games, including singing, dancing, storytelling, and fun group activities. The sessions sparked excitement and joy, with inmates fully immersed in the experience. Volunteers also engaged in one-on-one interactions, listening to stories, sharing heartfelt conversations, and spreading warmth and companionship.
