Prestigious recognition for Vidya NSS on World Blood Donor Day 2025

The NSS units of Vidya were recognized and celebrated for organizing voluntary blood donation drives, mobilizing over 200 donors, and promoting the spirit of humanitarian service as part of the World Blood Donor Day 2025 state-level celebrations.

It was a proud moment for the NSS units of Vidya, as the institution was honoured for its exceptional contribution to voluntary blood donation on the occasion of World Blood Donor Day 2025.The state-level celebration, organized by the Department of Transfusion Medicine, Government Medical College, Thrissur, was held on Saturday, 14 June 2025.

Vidya Academy of Science and Technology was recognized for organizing multiple outdoor blood donation camps and mobilizing over 200 voluntary blood donors through the active efforts of its NSS Unit.

Representing the college, Mr Rajesh S K (NSS Program Officer, Asso Prof, EEE Dept), along with NSS volunteers Aljin Joby (S6, CSE Dept) and Aswathy E S (S6, CSE Dept), attended the event and received a memento and a certificate of appreciation on behalf of the institution.

This honour is a testament to the tireless commitment, compassion, and dedicated service of Vidya’s NSS volunteers and coordinators. Their efforts reflect the true spirit of social responsibility and humanitarian values and continue to inspire the student community to take part in life-saving and socially impactful initiatives.
