Vidya marks proud milestone in its sustainability journey with “Green Institution” (A Grade) Award by Haritha Keralam Mission

Driven by a vision of a greener future, Vidya continues to lead by example in fostering environmental awareness and implementing sustainable practices throughout the institution and the community it serves.

Vidya  is proud to have been recognized as a “Green Institution” (A Grade) by Velur Grama Panchayat, as part of Haritha Keralam Mission.With initiatives like rainwater harvesting, Nakshathra Vanam, biogas plants and Solar Power Systems, Vidya’s campus embodies sustainability. This commitment to nurturing environmental awareness in the broader community earned it the “Green Institution”. The certificate was received by Mr. Anil Melepurath (Asst Prof, ECE Dept) and Mr Rajeev T S  (Site Supervisor- Civil, Construction Wing)

This sustainability milestone is the result of our institution’s unified vision and coordinated commitment to environmental responsibility.

The achievement was made possible by the tireless teamwork of Vidya’s staff  (Housekeeping Wing, Security Staff,  Canteen and Cafeteria teams) whose focused efforts have cultivated a culture of environmental stewardship on campus, under the guidance of Dr. Sunitha C. (Principal) and the capable leadership of Mr. C.S. Gopalakrishnan (Technical Assistant to the Executive Director,Construction Wing).

The recognition serves as both an acknowledgment of our current practices and a call to continue fostering a culture of environmental responsibility. In this spirit, Vidya community to uphold commitment by maintaining our campus as a “No Waste Campus.In this spirit, Vidya reaffirms its commitment to sustainability by striving to maintain a truly “No Waste Campus.”
