Vidya EEE Students and faculty member achieve publication in prestigious IJIRT Journal

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering contributes to the advancement of knowledge in the field by presenting innovative solutions and fostering further research through various  scholarly activities.
Students and faculty members of EEE Dept have achieved a remarkable academic milestone through the publication of their research paper in the International Journal of Innovative Research in Technology (IJIRT) — an International Open Access, Peer-Reviewed, and Refereed Scholarly Indexed Journal (ISSN: 2349-6002).

The paper titled “A Raspberry Pi Based Assistive Nursing Robot for Remote Patient Care” was authored by Adarsh K. S (S7, EEE Dept), Immanuel Joel Jeejo (S7, EEE Dept),Harvy J. Paul (S7, EEE Dept) and N. A. Agnivesh (S7, EEE Dept) under the guidance of Ms Akhila R (Asst Prof, EEE Dept). The paper was published in Volume 12, Issue 5 (October 2025) of IJIRT.

The research focuses on the design and development of an assistive nursing robot using Raspberry Pi technology for remote patient monitoring and autonomous medicine delivery. The robot integrates multiple sensors for real-time health data tracking — including heart rate, temperature, and SpO? levels — while enabling remote communication between patients and doctors through a built-in camera and microphone. This innovation aims to improve patient care, especially in situations requiring minimal human contact, such as during pandemic conditions.

The work highlights Vidya’s continuous efforts to promote innovation, applied research, and socially relevant technology development among its students and faculty.
