Digital Learning Awareness Session by Vidya Central Library

Vidya Central Library  always aims to emphasize the importance of utilizing various nationally acclaimed digital learning platforms, especially those that enable students to enroll in additional online courses to enhance their academic knowledge and career prospects.

 With the aim of familiarizing students with the NPTEL e-Learning Portal and encouraging them to actively engage with online learning platforms to enhance their academic and professional growth, a ‘Digital Learning Awareness Session’ was successfully conducted for all first-year batches during 13-18 October 2025. Led by Mr. Girish Kumar P. C. (Librarian), the Digital Learning Awareness Session provided first-year students with valuable insights into the NPTEL e-Learning Portal, encouraging them to explore its extensive collection of online courses for continuous learning and career development.

 Students were briefed on the registration process, including details about the opportunity to register twice a year at a nominal fee.

In addition to NPTEL, the session familiarized students with two other significant digital learning resources, National Digital Library of India (NDLI), which provides access to a vast collection of academic content, and the Online Library Renewal System, which enables students to efficiently manage and renew library resources.

With the completion of these sessions, all first-year batches have now been covered under the awareness programme. Vidya Central Library  plans to conduct a follow-up on NPTEL registrations scheduled to commence in January 2026. Further instructions will be provided during upcoming class visits, in coordination with the Group Tutors (GTs) and subject teachers.
