AIML Dept conducts one-day workshop titled “Crafting Intelligent Prompts” for school students

To introduce school students to the fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning and to enable them to craft intelligent prompts for AI applications, The Department of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Vidya Academy of Science & Technology, conducted a one-day workshop titled “Crafting Intelligent Prompts” for 32 school students from Hari Sri Vidya Nidhi School on 19 December 2025. 

The workshop was organized with the aim of introducing students to the fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning and to train them in crafting effective and intelligent prompts for AI applications. The sessions included interactive discussions on AI concepts, hands-on activities in prompt creation, and practical exposure to AI tools and technologies.

Students actively participated in the learning process and took part in a prompt generation competition, where Ashin Jayagopal emerged as the winner in the descriptive prompt category and Ulsav Edakkat won the image generation category. Adv. P. N. Unnirajan (Director (Administration), VICT) handed over the prizes in the presence of Dr. Jeeva K. A. (HoD,  AIML  Dept). 

The workshop successfully enhanced students’ basic understanding of AI and ML, encouraged creativity, and inspired them to explore further learning opportunities and career interests in AI-related fields.Ms. Bianka Thomas (Asst Prof, AIML Dept) and Ms. Anju K P (Asst Prof, AIML Dept) served as the coordinators for the workshop.
