MCA Department Organizes 11th Edition of ‘Chip-to-Net’ Workshop”

The Department of Computer Applications makes immense efforts to enhance the technical, documentation, and interpersonal skills of students by providing practical exposure through various programs, thereby bridging the gap between academic learning and industry requirement.

The Department  successfully organized the two-day workshop ‘Chip-to-Net 11.1’ on 23–24 February 2026, marking the 11th consecutive year of this flagship technical training program. Designed for students from neighboring colleges, the workshop aimed to enhance technical skills, documentation proficiency and teamwork abilities, bridging the gap between academic learning and industry requirements.

The inaugural function was held on 23 February 2026 . The program commenced with a prayer, followed by a welcome address by Ms. Siji K B (Asst. Prof – Seln. Grade, MCA). Dr. Reji C Joy (HoD, MCA) presented an overview of the workshop. The formal inauguration was carried out by Dr. Sunitha C (Principal). Felicitations were delivered by Mr Suresh Lal (Executive Director) and Dr. Shalij P R (Director-Academics). The function concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Revathy Jayakumar (Asst. Prof, MCA).

The workshop featured engaging hands-on sessions, including:

• Google Sites – for creating professional websites.

• LaTeX using Overleaf – for academic documentation.

• Leadership and Teamwork – to enhance interpersonal and collaborative skills.

• AI Tools – interactive session for academic presentations and report preparation.

‘Chip-to-Net 11.1’ provided participants with valuable practical exposure and skill enhancement opportunities, reaffirming the MCA Department’s commitment to holistic student development and industry-oriented training.
