Faculty Development Program on Competitive Coding
A faculty development program on Competitive Coding was organized between 22 April 2026 – 06 May 2026 . The sessions were held online over ten working days using the institutes zoom platform between 10:00 and 12:30 pm. The resource person for the workshop were Dr. Jagandeep Singh Sidhu and Mr. Manikanta Akula from CodeTantra Technology Solutions.
The workshop began with an inaugural session held online on Wednesday, 22-Apr-26 at 10:00 am. Dr Sunitha C (Principal) addressed the participants and delivered the presidential address. She explained the importance of this topic and give a brief about what to expect during the training. Mr Suresh Lal (Executive Director, VICT) inaugurated the workshop and delivered the inaugural address. He extolled the attendees about the importance of skilling in the globally competitive world. Ms. Rejusha T R (Asst Prof, CSE Dept) proposed the vote of thanks.
The workshop covered the following topics:
Day 1: Python fast track, I/O
Day 2: Arrays, Complexity analysis
Day 3: Prefix sum, Kadane’s algorithm, Sub-array patterns
Day 4: Longest substring, Sliding windows
Day 5: Two-pointers
Day 6: Binary search, problems
Day 7: Conversions, Primes, GCD, and solving problems
Day 8: Stack, queues, and operations on the data structures
Day 9: Problems: Largest rectangle, non-overlapping intervals
Day 10: Tree, and tree traversals
The formal workshop concluded on Wednesday, 06-May-26 with a brief valedictory session held between 12:30 pm and 12:45 pm.
