EEE faculty members earn Certificate of Registration of Design for Voice-Enabled Public Kiosk Innovation

By deploying voice-user interfaces (VUI) within electronic marketing platforms, Vidya faculty members bridge the digital divide in public spaces, lower barriers to technology adoption, optimize user engagement, ensure universal design inclusivity, and have earned a Certificate of Registration of Design

The department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) is proud to announce that the design titled “VOICE-ENABLED E-MARKETING KIOSK FOR PUBLIC PLACES” has been granted a Certificate of Registration of Design under the provisions of the Design Act, 2000 and Design Rules, 2001.

The innovative design, developed by a team of eight members, includes the contributions of Mr Rajesh S. K.(Asso Prof,EEE Dept) and Ms. Sheeja G.(Asst Prof,EEE Dept)

The design has been officially registered with Design Number 494186-001 dated 10 March 2026, recognizing the novelty and originality of the proposed voice-enabled kiosk system intended for use in public places. The innovation aims to enhance accessibility and user interaction in e-marketing environments through voice-based technology, thereby improving convenience and inclusivity for the public.

This achievement reflects the institution’s commitment to fostering innovation, intellectual property creation, and research-driven technological development. The registration serves as a testament to the creativity and dedication of the team members and further strengthens VAST’s growing portfolio of intellectual property contributions.
