Vidya NSS Units honored by Govt. Medical College, Thrissur on World Blood Donor Day 2026

The NSS Units of Vidya foster a strong sense of social responsibility and community welfare among college students.

In a matter of great pride for the institution, the NSS Units of Vidya Academy of Science and Technology, Thrissur, were officially honored by the Government Medical College, Thrissur, in recognition of their outstanding support and contribution to voluntary blood donation activities.

The felicitation took place during the World Blood Donor Day celebration on 14 June 2026, organized by the medical college’s Department of Transfusion Medicine to acknowledge educational institutions that proactively promote and support vital blood donation drives. Vidya  received an appreciation memento celebrating the dedicated efforts of its NSS Unit in motivating students to donate blood and addressing critical community healthcare needs.

The award was proudly received on behalf of the institution by Mr. Ranjith E. R (NSS Program Officer, Asst Prof, ME Dept) along with two student NSS volunteers. This prestigious recognition stands as a powerful testament to the unwavering commitment of Vidya’s NSS volunteers toward humanitarian service, while successfully reinforcing the institution’s ongoing mission to foster social responsibility and community welfare.
