Vidya and VTDC empower students with Emerging Technology Skills and Industry Certifications

Vidya makes every effort to create awareness among CSE and AIML students about emerging IT technologies and globally recognized industry certification programmes, thereby 

Vidya Training & Development Centre (VTDC), in association with the Departments of Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) and Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning (AIML), organized industry-oriented technology workshops for Semester V  on 30 July 2027.

The objective of the programme was to familiarize students with emerging technologies and globally recognized industry certification programmes that enhance employability and prepare them for successful careers in the IT industry.

The workshops commenced with an introduction to Vidya Training & Development Centre (VTDC) and the Red Hat Academy by Mr. Narendranath Menon (Manager, VTDC). He highlighted the role of industry-aligned training and professional certifications in bridging the gap between academic learning and industry expectations.

The technical sessions featured Mr. Anju (Freelance Trainer,OpSynex Technologies), who delivered an insightful presentation on Cloud Computing, Linux, and DevOps, emphasizing the growing demand for these technologies in today’s digital landscape. This was followed by a session on the Basics of Networking and Introduction to CCNA, presented by Mr. Narendranath Menon. He provided students with an overview of networking fundamentals and career opportunities in enterprise networking.

The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from three batches of CSE students and one batch of AIML students. Feedback forms collected at the end of the workshops reflected an encouraging response.

The workshops were coordinated by Ms. Dina C S (Student Counsellor, VTDC) in liaison with Dr.Sajay K.R  (HoD, CSE Dept) and ensured the smooth conduct of the programme.
