CSE Department undertakes consultancy Assignment from Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (KVASU)
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering is proud to announce its association with the Meat Technology Unit, Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (KVASU), Mannuthy, Thrissur, through a consultancy assignment involving the application of machine learning to biomedical and food science data.
The CSE Department has been entrusted with a consultancy assignment by the Meat Technology Unit, Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (KVASU), Mannuthy, Thrissur.The Meat Technology Unit is a constituent station of KVASU engaged in academic, extension and research activities related to meat science and technology. As part of one of its ongoing research projects, the Unit has sought the expertise of the CSE Department for the analysis of Fourier-Transform Infrared (FTIR) spectral data of chicken meat samples using machine learning approaches. The study aims to develop effective analytical approaches for differentiating sample groups with good sensitivity and specificity.
The consultancy assignment is being undertaken by Dr Arjun K P (Asso Prof, CSE Dept) with Sat Sreehari (S7, CSE Dept) associated with the project.
