MVD professional and Vidya alumnus shares insights on road safety at Alumni Interaction
Drawing from his professional experience, Mr Nithin discussed the responsibilities associated with motor vehicle administration and highlighted the importance of road safety, responsible driving and safe mobility. He also explained how mechanical engineering knowledge can be applied in the automotive and public-service sectors.
The programme, organised by the Department of Mechanical Engineering, was aimed at connecting classroom learning with real-world professional experience. The resource person shared his career journey and provided students with insights into professional responsibilities, career opportunities and the expectations of the industry and public-service sector.
A major focus of the interaction was the importance of combining technical competence with social responsibility. The discussion on road safety and responsible mobility helped students understand the wider role of Mechanical Engineers in developing and managing safe and efficient transportation systems.
The interaction also highlighted the importance of alumni engagement in student development. Through direct interaction with an alumnus working in the field, the students gained an early understanding of professional life and the diverse career pathways available to Mechanical Engineering graduates.
