Inauguration of the Centre for Studies in Discrete Mathematics ( CSDM )

Inauguration of the Centre for Studies in Discrete Mathematics (CSDM), new initiative of the Department of Applied Sciences, was held on 18th of February 2017 in the Advanced Computer Lab. Prof. (Dr) K. A. Germina, Professor, Department of Mathematics, Central University of Kerala formally inaugurated the Centre. Executive Director Er. G. Mohanachandran launched the website of the Centre and Academic Director Dr. B Anil made the announcement of the new research journal of the Centre. Finance Director Sri. Suresh Lal and College Vice Principal Dr. V. N. Krishnachandran felicitated. Dr. S, Satheesh, Professor and Head of the Department of Applied Sciences welcomed the gathering and Dr. N. K. Sudev, Centre Coordinator proposed the vote of thanks. After the inaugural programme, a One Day National Seminar on Recent Developments in Graph Theory was conducted. In this event, Dr. K. A. Germina delivered an invited talk on “Spectra of Graphs” and Dr. K. Shahul Hameed, Associate Professor, Department of Mathematics, Govt. Brennen College, Kannur delivered a talk on “Spectra of Signed and Gain Graphs”. In the last session, four contributory papers were also presented.
