CE students make a proposal for modernising Thrissur KSTRC Bus Stand
A group of S8 B Tech (CE) students of the College, as part of their final year academic project, has prepared a detailed proposal for modernizing the bustling KSRTC Bus Stand in Thrissur. The new proposal, which includes a new building and a parking bay for buses, has been drafted in such a way that it will not affect the functioning of the existing Bus Stand in any way. The plan also provides for a shopping mall with two multiplexes. The shopping mall will be situated behind the stand. The shopping complex has been designed to accommodate a food court, the offices of KSRTC and a bank. There is also a provision for entry from the main road through an underground parking. The team of students consisted of Enshan Jose, Govind Krishna, Isac Davis, Kiran M S and Kishen Antony and they were guided by Dr C Justine Jose, Professor, CE Dept. The students plan to submit the proposal to Shri V S Sunil Kumar, Hon. Minister for Agriculture, Govt of Kerala and also to the KSRTC Managaing Director.
The project has also attracted much media attention.
