The members of the vibrant Vidya community of benevolent philanthropists who constitute the distilled goodness of VICT, highly acclaimed academicians who strive to strengthen the academic ambience of the College, great (and, of course, beautiful) students, much supportive parents, a host of well-wishers, all have always contributed and continue to contribute to the success of the various initiatives Vidya has taken which are of much significance to the protection of environment.
Vidya is now preparing to launch a new initiative to create awareness about and to fight the menace of waste materials and the wastage of resources. The new initiative christened “V Challenge Waste & Wastage” will be launched in a solemn function to be held in the College Auditorium on 14 March 2019.
The Kidney Federation of India (KFI), a Non-Governmental Organization with activities focused on helping people suffering from kidney-related ailments, has already pledged its support for this initiative and Fr Davis Chiramel, Chairman, KFI, will be one of the distinguished guests on the occasion. A host of other dignitaries are expected to the grace the occasion with their presence. Popular Cine Artist Guinness Ajaya Kumar ( “Guinness Pakru”) will be participating in the programmes as special guest of honour.
