College bus drivers become students and RTO becomes teacher

It was an articulation of the concern of the management in the safety of students and others who are traveling daily to and from the College by the college buses. It was an occasion to refresh the relevant traffic rules and regulations and best practices for safe travel.

Vidya has created history again by organising a one-day workshop for the drivers of Vidya’s college buses. The workshop christened “The Art of Driving” was organised jointly by the ME Dept of Vidya and the Motor Vehicles Department of Govt of Kerala and was held on 12 June 2019. The main session of the workshop was handled by Irinjalakuda Joint RTO Mr Manoj. He discussed the various rules to be followed to ensure safe driving. The college bus drivers came up with various doubts regarding driving the vehicles. Mr Manoj very patiently heard their queries and came up with answers to them. Following this, there was a session by Mr Alex Chacko (AP, ME Dept) to build up the confidence of drivers.

Principal Dr Saji C B, Executive Director Er. G Mohanachandran, Dean-Academics Dr Sudha Balagopalan, Head of ME Dept Dr N Ramachandran, Assistant Professors Mr Hareesh K, Mr Arun Lohidhakshan, Mr Vibin Antony, Mr Anil Paul, and Administration Manager Mr Abith Ganesh participated in the programmes. Vehicle Supervisor Mr Santhosh Kumar K B helped to organize the various sessions of the workshop.
