EEE Dept completes add-on course on Advanced MEP Design for Electrical Engineering
The EEE Dept of the College successfully organised an add-on course on “Advanced MEP Design for Electrical Engineering”. The abbreviation MEP stands for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing Engineering. MEP is one of the major segments in the construction industry along with architectural and structural engineering disciplines. Organized under the auspices of Centre for Continuing Education (CCE) of Vidya in collaboration with BIMIT CAD and BIM Training Services, Kochi, the course was of 120 hours duration and included the following certifications:
- Autodesk Course Completion on MEP – Electrical Design using AutoCAD
- MEP – Electrical Design using Revit
- NACTET Certificate on P G Diploma in MEP – Electrical Design
As many as 34 students of B Tech (EEE) 2016 admissions batch successfully completed the course and the certification. The expert team from BIMIT CAD and BIM Training services under the leadership of Mr Viju Antony covered the various aspects of MEP with well-prepared study materials. They were able to create enthusiasm and interest among the students and also helped them to complete the online and offline examinations and the projects using Revit.
