To promote and recognize excellence in technical education, a nine member expert team of National Board of Accreditation (NBA) conducted a three day expert visit to Vidya during 18 – 20 November 2022 to assess four B Tech Programmes (CE, EEE, ECE and ME Departments).
The briefing on the institution was presented by the Principal. Presentations on the departments were given by the respective Heads of Depts. Apart from comprehensive evaluation and documental verifications pertaining to different accreditation criteria, the Expert Team also held meetings and interactions with the stakeholders of the institution that include faculty and staff members, students, alumni, parents and employers. The team also made a visit to various facilities of the programmes such as Central Library, Common Computer Centre, Playground, Hostels, Canteen, Auditorium etc.
Dr Sunitha C (Head, AIML Dept and NBA Institutional Co-ordinator) co-ordinated the activities with the whole-hearted support from all members of Vidya family. The ebullient staff members were fervent in all the activities and have pushed to handle roles outside of their comfort zone and relentlessly guided and groomed each other to bring out the best .
During the preparatory level, the enthused students of Vidya were also inspired to inculcate the values and they never shirk their responsibilities. They always maintained the necessary composure for a smooth work environment. The positive attitude which they brought to every assigned task was exemplary. It was an enlightening experience for the students and teachers and took great fortitude to maintain quality of work and clarity of purpose in times of need. All have worked very hard and adapted wonderfully to changes in circumstances and for that heartfelt appreciation is needed for believing in the motto of Vidya.
The NBA Expert Committee visit served as the best platform to lead to a better display of the efficient ad quality education ensured in Vidya and will march ahead for more such laurels in the days to come.
