Winners of Thrissur District Level YIP competition
Vidya committed students with the earnest support of IEDC (Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Center) have been giving their commendable efforts to access latest technologies, high class infrastructure and quality innovations which are capable of funding. As a recognition of the same, Vidya IEDC had received several grants from Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM) for the enhancement of innovation, entrepreneurship and skill development activities in the College in the previous years.
The team ‘Greeninnovators’ won Thrissur District Level competition by bagging a cash price of Rs 25,000-/ from Kerala Development and Innovation Strategic Council (K-DISC). The team has been shortlisted for the offline state-level evaluation program of the Young Innovators Program (YIP) 4.0 on 29 July 2023 which is happening at Pinarayi Conventional Centre, Kannur.

Their project ‘G-brick’ where they introduced a new and efficient technique to recycle plastic and rubber and hence make bricks in a less harmful way.
