Semester Flag Off Meeting 2023
To uphold an supreme educational standard, integrated with the conduct of discipline a Semester Flag Off Meeting was held at Vidya on 15 September 2023.
The meeting started with a welcome address by Dr S Swapna Kumar (Prof and Head, ECE Dept). Dr Saji C B (Principal, VAST), in his address, gave a brief about the various academic and non academic activities to be completed all through this odd semester execution of these activities with the target dates. He also mentioned some of the steps to be taken to eloquent the acquaintance and skills that the students require to obtain additional skills
Dr Saji congratulated the students and staff members for their vigorous contribution in all the events conducted lately with meticulous planning and executed successfully with decorum of commendable discipline. He extended his great sense of appreciation to all the staff members for the determined efforts to broaden the students’ prospect of learning and thereby helping every student experiences success with excellence. The Principal declared the new co-ordinators of Vidya’s accreditation process to define the controlling principles to create efficiencies by streamlining and aligning processes to meet regulatory requirements.

Ms Jeeva K A (Asso Prof, ECE Dept) gave an overview about NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council )that reflected in its vision statement and stimulate the academic environment for the promotion of quality of teaching-learning and research in Vidya. Dr Mary P Varghese (HoD, EEE Dept) provided a brief overview of the NBA accreditation procedure for B Tech engineering program and its extensive feature, regarding the vital facets and preparations required from every department was given by the Dr Mary P Varghese (Institutional NBA coordinator HoD, EEE Dept). Mr Paul Chakola (Head, Training and Placement Cell) presented the Strategic Framework.
Dr Sudha Balagopalan (Dean Academics) offered a brief description about IEEE Smart Village (ISV) activities that are adapted to gather deprived communities. She also shared her experiences in the extension of next phase. Adv P N Unnirajan IPS (Rtd) (Director-Administration) offered his support to implement all the initiatives in Vidya. All heads of departments representing both academic and non-academic departments and members of staff attended the meeting.Mr Suresh Lal (Executive Director) shared his insights and the steps that have to be taken to embark on the journey.
The meeting provided an incredible opening to make change and re-assured the commitments of members of staff in Vidya that walk the trail of development.
