Vidya hosts Inter Zone Kabadi Championship

APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University Inter Zone Kabadi Championship was held at Vidya on 30 October 2023. 12 teams in women’s category ( KMEA Engineering College Aluva, College of Engineering Trikaripur, Mahaguru Institute of Technology,Katachira, Mar Baselios College of Engineering and Technology,Trivandrum, College of Engineering,Pathanapuram, Government Engineering College, Thrissur, TKM College of Engineering, Kollam, ACE College of Engineering,Trivandrum, College of Engineering,Thalaserry, NSS College of Engineering ,Palakkad, SCMS School of Engineering and Technology,Karukuty, College of Engineering,Kidangoor participated in the competition.

A total of 12 teams in men’s category (KMEA Engineering College, Aluva, Government College of Engineering,Thrissur, Rajiv Gandhi Institute Of Technology,Pampadi,Valia Koonambaikulathamma College of Engineering & Technology,Paripally, UKF College of Engineering and Technology,Kollam, Government College of Engineering,Kannur, Providence College of Engineering & School of Business, Chengannur, SCMS School of Engineering and Technology,Karukuty,TKM College of Engineering,Kollam, Universal Engineering College,Thrissur, Trinity College of Engineering,Trivandrum, Lal Bahadur Shastri College of Engineering,Kasargod participated in the event

Result
In women’s category, KMEA Engineering College,Edathala emerged as winners.NSS College of Engineering Palakkad and  College of Engineering,Thalaserry secured first and second runners up trophy.

Universal Engineering College won the title and Government Engineering College, Thrissur and Valia Koonambaikulathamma College of Engineering & Technology,Paripally and KMEA Engineering College Edathala got first and second runners up trophy in men’s category.

The event was co-ordinated by Mr Ramesh K V (Asso Prof, Physical Education Dept) and Ms Arundhathi Sasikumar (Asst Prof, Physical Education Dept) with the earnest support of volunteers.
