2020-24 Batch – Vidya Academy once again crosses 300+ Placement Offers Mark !

The 2020-24 Batch students of Vidya Academy of Science and Technology, once again achieved the milestone of crossing 300 placement offers mark. Congratulations to all the campus placed students and to those who have availed the higher education opportunities for doing their M. Tech and MBA programs.

This is the straight sixth year continually that the placement figures have gone past the 300+ offers mark.  Market conditions were challenging due to the on-going war and economic recessionary trends. However, Vidya students went all out and grabbed good placement offers with some of the world’s best corporates. Compared to previous years, there is also a hike in compensation packages offered with top salary offered being Rs.15 lakh per annum.

Besides the market conditions for fresher recruitment, it is noted that the skill set expectations from the students by the companies are also changing. It is noted that apart from the global economic scenario, technology changes are likely to impact fresher candidate recruitment market. Artificial Intelligence along with automation and associated technologies are changing the software development landscape. Thus, the large scale recruitment by IT companies have dipped; however, it is noted that core engineering company recruitment has improved. A good number of recruitment by UAE based companies was indeed a welcome change.
