Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between CE Dept and TANGENT, Thrissur

The Department of Civil Engineering recognizes the importance of   cooperative and a collaborative working relationship between industries

Vidya Academy of Science and Technology (VAST) and TANGENT, the parent company of reputed CISAT signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 14 February 2025 . The MoU establishes a collaborative framework aimed at enhancing software training and skill development.CISAT (Cadpoint Institute of Science & Technology),an authorized CADD training center,Thrissur renowned for its expertise in architectural aesthetics, design principles, and modern construction trends, has entered into a strategic partnership with the Department of Civil Engineering, VAST Thrissur. 

This Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signifies a commitment to fostering collaboration in the areas of design innovation, sustainability, and structural advancements.This MoU marks a significant step towards advancing architectural and civil engineering disciplines through a collaborative approach. By leveraging expertise and resources from both institutions, this partnership is poised to contribute meaningfully to the development of aesthetically pleasing and functionally efficient structures.The MoU was signed by Dr Sunitha C (Principal) and Mr Vinod K C (Director, CISAT Thrissur) and  Mr Arundas V M (Director, CISAT Thrissur). Mr Amjath Mohammed (Engineer in Chief Square Feet Builders) attended the ceremony. Dr Abhilasha P S (Professor  & HoD, CE Dept) led this initiative.

The primary objective of this MoU is to strengthen academic-industry collaboration in the field of software training. The agreement seeks to:-

• Facilitate structured software training programs for students.
• Provide hands-on experience and industry exposure through specialized courses.
• Develop and upgrade students’ skills to meet industry standards.
• Enhance employment opportunities by bridging the skill gap
